In order to promote adventure tourism in Arunachal Pradesh, Bollywood actor Salman Khan kicked off the Mechuka Adventure Festival by cycling alongside MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju and State CM Pema Khandu. The trio cycled around the picturesque hilly terrains as the actor also inaugurated the sixth edition of the festival, of which the Mountain Bicycle Race is also a part.
Salman, who is an ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh tourism, arrived at the Dibrugarh airport from Punjab, where he was shooting for his upcoming film Bharat. He then participated in a 10-km ride alongside the two politicians and several other dignitaries during the day-long visit.
Sharing a few photos of them together, Kiren Rijiju thanked the actor for promoting adventure tourism by writing, "People of Arunachal Pradesh will be forever indebted to @BeingSalmanKhan for promoting the State as a destination for adventure tourism."

Salman, who was seen wearing the state’s traditional Monpa jacket, promised to shoot for his upcoming film in the state in order to give a boost to the tourism. For the unversed, the Mechuka Festival witnessed many adventurers around the globe every year.
