Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Mission Mangal has started its shoot. The film directed by Jagan Shakti, is based on India’s Mars Mission and is being produced by filmmaker R. Balki and photographer Atul Kasbekar. Akshay and Vidya have reportedly started shooting for the film. Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu who also stars in the film also shared pictures of themselves from the sets.
The film marks Akshay’s and Vidya’s reunion after 11 years, they had previously worked together in Sajid Khan’s Heyy Baby and Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Vidya was spotted at the location in a brown saree with an ID card around her neck. On the other hand, Akshay was snapped wearing a blue shirt and cream trousers and chatting with a unit member.

Taapsee shared a picture of herself from the Mission Mangal’s sets where she is seen wearing a yellow saree, a mangalsutra and her hair braided in a French plait. She captioned the picture as, “Kritika Agarwal, Navigation and Communication Department, reporting on duty. #MissionMangal #FirstDay #FireTheEngines.”

Sonakshi also shared an Instagram story on her account where she shared the film’s clapboard. She captioned the story as, “The mission is ON! First day of shoot for me today." Mission Mangal also stars Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen.
