Priyanka Chopra is of the opinion that women, most of the times, have felt the pressure of forsaking their career after marriage - there, someone said it. At an event in collaboration with Facebook for #SocialForGood Live-Athon, Priyanka addressed several social issues apart from discussing the importance of mental health and the wrath of social media trolls.
"Women have always had the pressure of not making any career once they get married. We have lived under suppression for a longer time because it was normalised,” Priyanka said at the event in Mumbai on November 27.

It’s been almost two decades since Priyanka made her debut in Bollywood with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in 2003 and has emerged as a global superstar ever since. Not only has she starred in films such as Aitraaz, Bluffmaster!, Krrish, Don, Kaminey, Agneepath, Barfi and Bajirao Mastani, but also made her debut in Hollywood with Baywatch in 2017. Quantico – an American series – marked her debut on television.

Hence, as far as her career is concerned, Priyanka has established herself, so to speak and is rather concentrating on her personal life at the moment. She is busy prepping for her wedding to Nick Jonas on December 2 in Jodhpur – festivities will commence from November 29 itself. Of her decision, she said at the event, “I just prioritised what I felt I am good at, at that time.”
