When Karan Johar had invited Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor on his show Koffee With Karan he must have never envisioned that a simple task will blow out of proportions and bring in trolls by the dozen and poor Anshula Kapoor will be targeted for not her comment but for remaining silent. She started receiving rape threats for her actions and Janhvi and Arjun both hit back at the trolls for targeting their sister.
Arjun’s and Janhvi’s episode was fun with the half-siblings sharing childhood memories and spilling beans about each other. However, in the last segment, Karan asked Arjun and Janhvi to call a family member and convince them to say, “Hey Karan, what’s up”. Janhvi quickly called Anshula but when she tried explaining her to do her bidding Arjun started shouting that he won’t come home if she said the words. In this confusion, Anshula remained silent and Janhvi lost the game. Today, Arjun slammed the trolls and even Janhvi spoke about it on Priyanka Chopra’s live-athon at Facebook.

After the episode was aired, the actress’ fans trolled her half-sister and some even abused her on social media for apparently not helping Janhvi win the game and being partial towards Arjun. Janhvi replied to a fan when he commented about Anshula not helping her and wrote, “She couldn’t hear me and asked me after the show got over what that phone call was about.”

Talking about the way trolls target celebrities and their families, Janhvi said at the event, “You want to protect the people in your life. Like for example my sister actually just recently got trolled on social media. She did something silly on Koffee with Karan and started getting like rape threats and stuff. And it was just weird to me. As people are faceless on social media, they feel they can have opinions that sometimes cross a moral line. So when I put stuff that’s personal up on social media, I do think of that too. I feel protective towards them… what people might say about them or about my equation with them. You tend to be guarded.” It goes on to show the really violent and cruel mindset of the people.
