Actor Sanjay Kapoor is working with his niece, actress Sonam Kapoor in The Zoya Factor and is certainly enjoying it, but said during an interview with a leading daily, that their “relationship takes a back seat” on set considering the fact that it might affect the film. Sonam is Sanjay’s brother, actor Anil Kapoor’s daughter.
In The Zoya Factor, Sanjay plays Sonam’s character’s father and said that the film is special to him while praising the 33-year-old actress for her successful career in the Hindi film industry. "It is a special film since I am working with Sonam. I have watched her grow up. So, doing this film (with her) is beautiful," Sanjay told the daily.

Of working on the set with Sonam, Sanjay added, “We can't act as chacha and bhatiji on set since that might hamper the project. The relationship takes a backseat when work comes calling. For me, when on set, she is simply Zoya, the character she plays in the film."

Sanjay Kapoor has starred in the films Raja, Sirf Tum and Auzaar. After The Zoya Factor, he will also appear in Mission Mangal, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.
The Zoya Factor co-stars Sikandar Kher and Dulquer Salmaan. It is scheduled to release on April 5, 2019. Apart from this film, Sonam will also be seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.
