Bollywood actor Alok Nath was on November 13 expelled by the Cine And Television Artistes Association (CINTAA) following the sexual harassment and rape charges by Vinta Nanda. She shared her account through a Facebook post against the leading man of her 90s show Tara, of which she was the writer and producer.
The association wrote on Twitter, "In view of the various allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct against Alok Nath, after due diligence and consideration, the Executive Committee of CINTAA has decided to expel him from the Association."
However, despite being expelled from CINTAA, the 'sanskarri' actor is still a part of Luv Ranjan's upcoming production De De Pyaar De, featuring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh, without any further information of his portions being reshot.

A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "Alok Nath features in at least 50 per cent of the film which has already been shot. And given De De Pyaar De features three busy actors, including Ajay who has already started shooting for Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, which also features Kajol and Saif Ali Khan, along with a huge number of other artistes, it will be difficult to get combination dates for a reshoot. Replacing Alok will be next to impossible at this stage."
This certainly comes as a surprise since the likes of Sajid Khan, Subhash Kapoor and several others, were dropped from their respective projects following the #MeToo allegations against them.
When CINTAA general secretary Sushant Singh was questioned about the same, he quipped that he doesn't know what Luv and other filmmakers should do, further adding, "We have done what we thought was right and we would definitely expect their support."
