It All Started With a DM
Before meeting her in person, Nick, while speaking to Vogue magazine, admitted that he was the one to approach her first as he sent her a direct message on Twitter in September 2016. "I'm hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,” Nick said, adding that Priyanka asked her to text him since her team could read her DMs. So, Nick did just that and said that initial conversations between them were “friendly with an eye toward flirtation,” while Priyanka added, “Boy got the number.”
The First Filmy Meeting

While several thought that the couple met first at the MET Gala, Nick and Priyanka, during their interview with Vogue, clarified that it was at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in February 2017 that they met for the first time. It was, filmy, of course, what else? More than that, it was love at first sight for Nick as he fell flat with Priyanka, glamorous in a black dress, walking down the red carpet at the party. "I put my drink down, got on one knee — this is in front of a bunch of people — and I say, 'You’re real. Where have you been all my life?' Like, loud," Nick told Vogue.
The Quite ‘Fair’ After Party
After the Vanity Fair Oscars party, Priyanka and Nick conversed over drinks in NYC and he also spent the night at the actress’ apartment - her mother Madhu Chopra was there as well before you jump to conclusions. "There was no kiss. There was nothing. She's still upset about that. (Her) mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night,” Nick told Vogue while Priyanka added, "It was too respectful if you ask me.”
Jab They MET!

Love stepped in before but the world only got a hint of it after Priyanka’s and Nick’s first public appearance together on the red carpet at the MET Gala in April 2017- both wore Ralph Lauren – sure enough, Priyanka and Nick will be wearing outfits by the designer for their Christian wedding as well. Rumours of their alleged romance, hence, commenced as the press speculated their relationship status after the event.

We didn’t see much of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas after MET Gala for almost one year as webloids wondered whether it was all just a dream. But soon enough, pictures of Priyanka’s and Nick’s outings in May surfaced– be it concerts, sports or the Memorial Day weekend – we found several pictures of them on fan clubs et al. Sources, in fact, told Hollywood portal Entertainment tonight that Priyanka and Nick “looked very happy and were super smiley together. They sat really close and were talking to each other a lot during the game.”

In June, Nick came to India as he attended Akash Ambani’s pre-engagement bash in Mumbai with Priyanka. While she was resplendent in a red saree, Nick suited up and they posed for pictures together – hand-in-hand – without bothering about upcoming headlines. The press was delighted as were the photographers.

Cut to the wedding, Priyanka’s and Nick’s shaadi and associated festivities will be a private affair in the presence of family and approximately 200 guests. Mehendi and sangeet are on November 29 while the traditional Hindu wedding will be held on December 2 followed by a Christian wedding, the next day.
Reports suggest that Priyanka and Nick will host a reception in New Delhi after their wedding at a posh hotel while a party will also be held for her friends and colleagues from the film fraternity in Mumbai soon after.
