Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh kept the paparazzi as well as the Indian cinelovers on tenterhooks by keeping their wedding look a secret until they themselves chose to share them on social media. The two actors had a fairytale wedding at Lake Como in Italy and for the entire month of November kept waiting for their nuptial details and pictures. Now, the actors are back to their work commitments. While Ranveer is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Simmba¸ Deepika will be on the December cover of a fashion magazine.
While Deepika looked the quintessential Indian bride on her wedding she has gone all bold for the magazine cover. Talking about the switch she said in the interview excerpts of which was shared with IANS, “I'm aware of culture, tradition, all that… I also understand what it means to be my own person. Of course, it's exciting to take your relationship to the next level, but at no point as a woman should you forget your sense of individuality. It's important to remain authentic and stay true to who you are. The idea is not to lose yourself in the process (of marriage).”

She also spoke about the pictures that she shared from the wedding and the fact that it was an extremely intimate affair with only 40 guests. She said, “I think the pictures we shared summed up the wedding - it was magical to have just family and friends there who mean something to you, who don't really care about who you are professionally, but are there because they love you for who you are as a person.”
Deepika is soon starting work on Meghna Gulzar’s directorial based on real-life acid victims which the pretty actress will also be producing. She is also busy with setting up her marital home with Ranveer.
