The best decision of my life, says Priyanka Chopra in first interview after wedding to Nick Jonas

“Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day,” Priyanka Chopra said and we absolutely second her. During an exclusive interview with international magazine People after her wedding to American singer Nick Jonas, Priyanka narrated her experience and said that the confluence of faith and culture is what made everything special. “Religious mash-up,” is what she termed it as.

“But I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be. It melted my heart. Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special,” Priyanka told People. Priyanka and Nick married in a strictly private ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on December 1 in a Christian wedding and as per Hindu traditions on December 2.

She was nervous, scared and witnessing several emotions but soon after she saw Nick during the ceremony, Priyanka was sure that she had made the best decision of her life.

“It was all tears. All tears. I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life,” Priyanka told People.

Nick, on the other hand, also spoke to People and said that his wedding was an emotional moment. “The emotions were running high during the ceremonies, I think especially during the Western wedding for me. You know you think your whole life about that moment. Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was. It was highly emotional,” Nick told People.
