In Red Waala Shade, Priyanka is resplendent while Nick looks dapper in first pic from Hindu wedding ceremony

Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on December 2 while she posted a stunning picture from it on Instagram. While Priyanka was resplendent in a red lehenga choli by Sabyasachi, Nick complimented her in a white sherwani created by the designer.

“Forever starts now,” Priyanka wrote in her post that went crazy viral within seconds of being made available online. On his Instagram, Sabyasachi described Priyanka’s outfit as he provided intricate details of the lehenga choli that has been made with the help of 110 embroiderers from Calcutta. Hold your breath before you digest this fact that the karigars took 3720 hours to create this modern masterpiece, as written by Sabyasachi.

“Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork embroidery,” adorned Priyanka’s ensemble. International magazine People interviewed Priyanka and Nick after their wedding and the publication, in their exclusive report, stated that the actress had requested Sabyasachi to sew the names of Nick and her parents, Ashok and Madhu, “into the waistband of her skirt in her native language”.

Jewellery for Priyanka was courtesy of Chopard as she wore a statement Mughal neckpiece and earrings set in uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold. As far as Nick is concerned, the American singer wore a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta, as described by Sabyasachi in his post.

Nick accesorised his outfit with a rose cut kalgi and syndicate diamond necklace designed by Sabyasachi from his Heritage Jewelry collection.

While speaking to People about her Hindu wedding outfits, Priyanka said, “For the Indian wedding, I wore Sabyasachi. I always knew I wanted a red traditional silhouette for my wedding but Sabya brought in incredible French embroidery to the mix and with incredible jewelry and Western-inspired veil it was just such an amalgamation of who I am.”

Only 225 guests and family members attended the ceremonies and two-part wedding in Jodhpur including Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma, Isha Ambani, Priyanka’s sister Parineeti Chopra, Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and his partner Sophie Turner.
