Priyanka Chopra’s and Nick Jonas’ wedding reception at Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi is underway. The couple tied the knot on December 1 and 2 in two different ceremonies- a Christian wedding and a Hindu wedding in keeping in mind the different cultural and religious background they belong to. Today, during their Delhi reception which saw a lot of high profile people gracing the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also arrived to shower his blessings to the newlyweds.
He congratulated the couple and gifted them with his trademark minimalist present of a single rose. PM Modi had specifically requested once that people should not give bouquets but instead should convey their feelings and wishes by a single flower. Being true to his word he did the same and gifted Priyanka and Nick with a rose each. In fact, this is not the first time he has done that when he was invited to Virat Kohli’s and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception last year he did the same.

Priyanka looked beautiful in a Falguni and Shane Peacock lehenga with beige and white thread work. She paired it with a choli and dupatta worn over both shoulders. She accessorized her look by wearing a multi-tiered diamond necklace and drop earrings. Nick wore a black tuxedo and looked dashingly handsome.

The couple’s wedding pictures and videos were shared by People magazine exclusively and it broke the internet today. The couple in the interview given to the magazine said that the wedding ceremonies were extremely emotional for them and they could not hold their tears. In fact, during the Christian wedding, Nick wiped away a tear as he saw Priyanka walking down the aisle in her Ralph Lauren wedding gown looking simply ethereal.
