Deepika Padukone is having a great year. Her magnum opus Padmaavat was her sole release in the year but the film’s tremendous success ensured that she reigned supreme and her wedding to Ranveer Singh is what fairytales are made of. The entire country went gaga over their wedding and waiting for their official pictures to arrive. She was also voted as the ‘Sexiest Asian Woman’ the title published by UK based newspaper, ‘Eastern Eye’.

Now, we hear that Deepika has turned down Aamir Khan’s offer of her playing the role of Draupadi in Mahabharat that he has been working on. Deepika was recently snapped at Aamir’s residence which sent the rumour mills in overdrive speculating that the two are coming together in a film. Although we must say that she would have made a great Draupadi.

However, as reported by a leading daily, Deepika has turned down the role of the enigmatic Draupadi from the ambitious project. The project is supposed to be made in multiple parts. Aamir and Deepika have often expressed a desire to work with each other but it looks like that it will not be anytime soon.

Deepika has taken a sabbatical this year and has been extremely choosy about signing new films and green-lighted only one project with Meghna Gulzar which she is also producing. The film is based on the acid attack victim Laxmi Agarwal. With this venture, the actress has started her own production house too.
