Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in the works of making one of his most ambitious projects till date. No, no don’t get us wrong, he is not going overboard with the budget but what he has done is equivalent to a casting coup of sorts. He has roped in Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to share screen space in his next venture. As reported by an entertainment portal the film that was going to be a two-hero-one-heroine project and was supposed to have Deepika Padukone in the lead is now going to star Anushka Sharma instead. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
The film is based on the lines of the cult film Saudagar that starred Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar in the lead and will have SRK and Salman playing the role of best friends who turn into foes. As reported by an entertainment portal it was due to Salman’s suggestion that Anushka was roped in instead of Deepika. The reason is that Deepika has rejected many offers from Salman in the past, and also the cold vibes that Katrina and Deepika shared was also one of the reasons of the superstar keeping a distance from her.

If Anushka gives her nod to the film, it will be the first time that she will be sharing screen space both with Salman and SRK at the same time. She has previously worked with Shah Rukh in Rabe Ne Bana Di Jodi, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Jab Harry Met Sejal and will be seen next in Zero. She has worked in Sultan with Salman.

This will be the first time that Anushka will be working with Bhansali. It is not yet known whether Bhansali will only be producing the film or will don the director’s hat as well. However, one thing is clear that his current muse Deepika with whom the filmmaker has given some of his recent hits like Goliyon Ki Raasleela-RamLeela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat will not be working on this film.
