It was on December 11 last year that Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot in a dreamy wedding in Tuscany, Italy. Now as the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary today, Virat spoke at length about his married life and the positive influence his wife has brought in his life.
Speaking an interview with Adam Gilchrist, he stated that Anushka has widened his horizons and helped him grow as a person, "When I met my wife I began to change. I came from a very different background from north India and I had no idea of what happens in any other sphere of society or anyone else’s life. Her life was very different and it came with her own challenges and perspective on things."

Further adding that he is amazed to see the change in himself, Virat quipped that he has learnt a lot from Anushka. "That’s what it’s supposed to be like, you should help each other grow and she has certainly helped me grow," he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Anushka has flown down to Australia to celebrate the special day with her hubby since Virat is playing for the Indian team there.
