Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are currently enjoying their honeymoon after getting married in a fairytale wedding. The couple has made several appearances after they tied the knot in a very stately manner in Jodhpur. Each of those looks has one thing in common, Priyanka’s sindoor and her chooda.
Priyanka was mocked for wearing sindoor and chooda with western clothes and some people on Twitter even trolled her for adhering to the symbols of an Indian married woman while she proclaims herself to be a feminist and a global icon. However, her mother Madhu Chopra has taken to Twitter to respond to people commenting on her sindoor-chooda adorned look. Madhu gave a befitting reply to all the trolls on Twitter and proved once again what a badass she is. Her reply is perfect for all those who do not understand the meaning of feminism and personal choice.

While speaking to a leading website, Madhu had praised Nick for being well-mannered, mature, and well-behaved. She also shared that she was moved when Priyanka asked her to do her Kanyaadan and walk her down the aisle for the Hindu and Christian weddings respectively. She added that Priyanka was very happy all throughout the wedding festivities. Surprisingly, Deepika Padukone who got married to Ranveer Singh days before Priyanka is also sporting a similar look but is not garnering such ire just because she married an Indian. Guess, we Indian are really hypocrites, no?
