Belonging to a film family and being the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, all eyes were set on Sara Ali Khan's debut, expectedly so. And to everyone's delight, the 23-year-old stole the show in her first film, Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, and has won over critics as well.
Now in an interview with a leading daily, Sara revealed how her father Saif reacted to her debut film by stating that he is both proud and relieved. Talking about it, he said, "My father calls me every day, saying ‘I loved your work’, talking about one scene or the other and 'I'm so proud of you'. Every day, more and more people are watching the film and messaging my parents. And quite naturally, they are excited. It’s just amazing. I’m really enjoying this moment."

Isn’t that just aww-dorable?
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with an entertainment portal, Saif had stated that he wasn’t surprised by Sara’s performance because he always knew she had it in her. "The thought behind her shot is clear. It’s amazing. Way better than what I was," the doting father gushed.
For the unversed, Kedarnath is a fictional love story set against the backdrop of the 2013 Uttarakhand floods. In the film, Sara was seen playing young Hindu girl Mukku, belonging to a wealthy Pandit family, who falls in love with a Muslim pithoo.
She will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, also starring Ranveer Singh.
