After case against Nana Patekar and kicking off #MeToo storm, Tanushree Dutta to leave for US

After bringing the #MeToo storm in Bollywood, Tanushree Dutta is all set to return to the US. The actress, however, is hopeful that justice will come her way in her fight against Nana Patekar.

Tanushree came to India five months back and apparently had to stay only for a month, but her stay got extended after she gave a tip-off in the sexual harassment case against Nana Patekar, claiming that he molested her during the filming of Horn OK Pleassss. While speaking to a leading daily, Tanushree shared that she will be returning to New Jersey early next year because her future lies there.

Tanushree was also asked about whether she thinks the whole movement has fizzled out, to which she said, “I do not look at it as now hot, now cold. Such things are a revolution. What matters is its impact in the future. It has created an atmosphere where sexual predators are aware that they cannot get away with misbehaviour. It came as a surprise when women began calling out the sexual predators. I am aware that #MeToo cannot be front page news every day."

The actress shared how some people were claiming that she ignited the #MeToo fire by calling out Nana Patekar because she wanted to return to Bollywood. Tanushree, however, thought otherwise. She shared that no filmmaker would want to work with an actress who was bringing a storm in the industry. If she wanted to return to films, she would have resorted to a better way, not this!
