It has been a while since Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol appeared together onscreen and if you are lucky, you might get to watch them in the sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium. Yes, guys, you read that right. Sources told a leading daily that filmmaker Dinesh Vijan has been discussing the project in question with SRK and Kajol. Hindi Medium cast Irrfan in the lead role while sources also said that the 51-year-old actor will be a part of the sequel as well.
If the report is anything to go by, Irrfan will reprise his role in the sequel that will be set in the US. In fact, sources also said that SRK and Kajol participated in the first script reading session. Shah Rukh and Kajol are co-stars of films Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan and Dilwale.

Homi Adajania, who has helmed films such as Cocktail and Finding Fanny, will direct Hindi Medium 2. The first part of the film was directed by Saket Chaudhary.
Irrfan, who is undergoing treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour in London, was in India for a week in November as he celebrated Diwali with his family in Mumbai. SRK and Irrfan have worked together in 2009’s Billu.
