When Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married there were several memes doing the rounds where Ranbir Singh was seen singing Channa Mereya. The couple got married in a lovely fairytale wedding at Lake Como in Italy. Although the couple did not invite any folks from Bollywood for their wedding they held a lavish reception for their industry friends. However, Ranbir was conspicuous by his absence. His current girlfriend Alia Bhatt with whom Deepika recently appeared on Koffee With Karan also gave it a miss as they were shooting for their film Brahmastra on the day of the reception.
Now, during her first interview on a TV channel post marriage for the programme Famously Filmfare Deepika spoke for the first time about Ranbir giving her wedding reception a miss. She said, “We’ve not spoken. I mean, we spoke before the reception but we have not spoken after. But, that’s him. I’m not surprised at all. But, that’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship; so much is said without saying much at all.”

Deepika and Ranbir were in a relationship when the two had started their careers in Bollywood and apparently, Deepika was head-over-heels in love with him. She even got her famous ‘RK’ tattoo on the nape of her neck when they were in a relationship. However, their relationship soon went kaput and the actors went their separate ways. However, the two have always remained cordial with each other and went on to give some really big hits together.
