The makers of Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero have finally breathed a sigh of relief after the petition filed in Bombay High Court against the actor and others, has finally been withdrawn. The petitioner, who sought removal of scenes showing a 'Kirpan' in Zero, filed an application in the court saying that he has no complaint with the film after the makers on Wednesday filed an affidavit, confirming that the concerned portions film have been altered.
For the unversed, Zero got into trouble for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of the Sikh community by showing SRK wearing 'Kirpan' and presenting it as a simple dagger. Expressing his objection to a scene, Amritpal Singh Khalsa had then filed a petition against the makers and it was even accepted by the Bombay High Court. According to the petition, "Display of the Kirpan in such a way is blasphemous and the scenes should be removed immediately."

Not only this, the makers of the film have also withdrawn all the posters, which started the dispute in the first place.
Meanwhile, during the hearing, it was said before the HC that the makers were violating the Sikh Code of Conduct with the controversial scene by mocking our religious beliefs. Since only Sikhs are given the privilege of wearing and carrying the 'Kirpan' under Article 25, the film and its posters were violating the same.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is slated to release on December 21.
