Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan came face-to-face at the recent wedding of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal and reportedly met cordially at the venue even after avoiding each other for the longest of times. According to a leading daily, when Priyanka and her husband Nick Jonas came face-to-face with Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan at the starry wedding, they smiled and approached SRK with a friendly greeting.
An actor who witnessed the meeting told the daily, “I’ve never seen them speak to one another. But I guess the beautiful occasion, plus the fact that PeeCee is now Mrs. Jonas, must have prompted Shah Rukh’s innately gentlemanly nature to zip out of his heart.” The actor also told the daily that Priyanka introduced SRK to her husband Nick. He said, “It was a very spontaneous gesture of warmth.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra had a mutual admiration society going on for quite a long time, even before they shared screen space in Farhan Akhtar directed Don and Don 2. However, soon things went haywire when rumour mills started doing the rounds that the happily married superstar and the former Miss World had a thing for each other. The actors were rumoured to be in an alleged affair that did not go well with Gauri Khan’s filmmaker friends and Priyanka had to pay the price for it. Now, the Don franchise will be taken further but Farhan has stated that Priyanka will not reprise her role or feature in the film.

Recently, Shah Rukh said that when he heard Deepika Padukone is getting married he ‘called Deepika and wanted to hug her’, but when he was asked about Priyanka’s wedding, he quipped, “Even I am getting married. I’ll send you an invite. I will send you the card for the reception and also, do come for the mehendi.”
Looks like, now that Priyanka is finally married and has a footing in Hollywood as well, the actors might sort out their differences and let bygones be bygones. It would indeed be a treat if these two powerhouse performers reunite once again for a film soon.
