Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has responded to reports of collaborating with Akshay Kumar and said that he has discussed a few ideas with the actor but that's about it for now. Certain sections of the press have been suggesting for a while that Rohit will begin work on his next film with Akshay after the release of Simmba. Starring Ranveer Singh, Simmba, directed by Rohit, will release on December 28.
While speaking to a news agency, Rohit said that he would love to work with Akshay and will definitely do so in the future. "I've always been open about what I am doing. We have bounced one or two ideas. I would love to work with him and definitely we will be coming together," Rohit was quoted as saying by the agency.

However, of the ideas that he has discussed with Akshay, Rohit refrained from divulging further details. "But at present we have just tossed an idea and we just had a few meetings on what can be done and what we should do. Everybody is saying our combination will be good," Rohit added.
Akshay, in the meantime, is basking in the glory of the success of 2.0, in which he appeared as the antagonist. 2.0, co-starring Rajinikanth, has been faring well at the box office. His upcoming releases include Kesari, Good News, Mission Mangal and Housefull 4.
