Aanand L Rai's latest directorial Zero, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, hit the theaters today on December 21. And we must say, SRK is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the audience enjoy the best version of his project, which celebrates physical, mental and emotional incompleteness in all its glory.
Reportedly, Zero was granted the UA certificate earlier this week after Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested six minor cuts, which the film's team readily agreed upon. However, the actor was still not satisfied and he, along with the director, submitted another abbreviated version of the film on Wednesday morning with 20 voluntarily cuts.

As per a report in a leading daily, SRK believed that the film would benefit from a shorter runtime and hence, shortened some sequences. "Shah Rukh and Rai felt that the runtime could be shortened to accommodate more shows in multiplexes and advertorials. So they went back to the editing table and snipped several scenes, including one where Shah Rukh is seen consuming alcohol, and a wedding sequence. They trimmed it by five minutes, and the runtime now stands at 159 minutes," the daily quoted a trade source as saying.
That's interesting, we must say!
Meanwhile, earlier the CBFC had recommended the Zero team that the word 'peechwade' be replaced with 'jigar' while words 'haraamzaade' and 'haraami' should be muted.
