After releasing the teaser on the occasion of megastar Rajinikanth's 68th birthdayr 12 on Decemb, the makers of Tamil action-drama Petta have now unveiled the much-anticipated trailer of the film. And we must say, Rajinikanth is back and how. Not to forget, it is an interesting portrayal of Rajinikanth's swagger, which is in abundance in every single frame.
The trailer of Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, begins with depicting Rajinikanth in his quintessential and unique style as he plays the role of a hostel owner with a dark past. Considering he's shown as a person one should cross, the two-and-a-half minute trailer has some hard-hitting action sequences as well. Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who ventures into Tamil film industry with Petta, will leave you surprised with his act.

The film also features Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Sasi Kumar and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles. Slated to release next year during Pongal on January 10, 2019, Petta certainly promises to be a blockbuster.
Meanwhile, At the audio launch of Petta, Rajinikanth said about the film, "Petta is an entertaining throwback to the kind of films I did in 1990s. Karthik has extracted from me the kind of work I used to perform three to four decades ago." Well, we cannot wait to see the film on the silver screen.
Work wise, Rajinikanth was seen in Kaala and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 in 2018.
