Katrina Kaif had to opt out of Remo D'souza's dance film because she had "genuine date issues," the director said while speaking to a leading daily. PeepingMoon, on Sunday, exclusively reported that Katrina quit Remo's film, tentatively titled Street Dancer, because she had given bulk dates to Bharat which Salman Khan is keen on releasing for Eid 2019.
Remo, meanwhile, also reiterated the aforementioned fact that Katrina, at the moment, is required to "divert her attention" to Bharat, adding that he was looking forward to working with her in the film.

"There's really no conflict with Katrina. I would have really loved to direct her, but she had genuine date issues that cropped up. She had to divert all her attention to Bharat. I was excitedly looking forward to directing Varun and her together in the film. It was a dream cast for me, but sometimes, difficult decisions have to be made; it's a professional hazard and you can't hold it against anyone," Remo told the daily.
Remo's film also stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. If reports are to be believed, Shraddha Kapoor has replaced Katrina in the film, although, Remo refused to divulge details and said that the official announcement will be made soon.
