While refuting dating rumours with Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi mentions Akshat Rajan; we'll tell you more

Janhvi Kapoor is 21 but that clearly doesn't mean that her family is cool with her dating considering the fact that she told an eminent journalist during an interview that her parents, filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late veteran actress Sridevi have always been pretty much "dramatic" about it.

At home, in fact, Janhvi said that dating has always been a "situation" since her parents aren't quite aware of the concept of "chill".

"Dating has always been a situation at home. I don't know why but it has. My mom and dad were very dramatic about it. They were like, 'When you like a guy, come to us and we will get you married.' And I was like, what?! You know, we don't have to get married to every guy we like. We can be chill also. She's like, 'Chill. What does chill mean?' So, they don't understand the concept of chill," Janhvi said.

While elaborating on the aforementioned, Janhvi also reiterated that she isn't dating her Dhadak co-star Ishaan Khatter as proposed by gossip mills. In fact, Janhvi added that rumour mills have also been insisting that she is in a relationship with her childhood friend Akshat Rajan but that's absolutely untrue.

"The rumour mongers have also said that I am dating my childhood best friend called Akshat, who's so scared to hang out with me now because he is too scared that we will be papped together. So that day, he came home for dad's birthday and there were paps downstairs at Arjun bhaiyya's house, and he was hidden like a khopcha, put on a hoodie and all, and left. I was like, it's okay," Janhvi said.

Janhvi made her debut in Bollywood with Dhadak in July 2018 and will be seen next in Takht and the Gunjan Saxena biopic.
