Salman Khan to collaborate with Satish Kaushik once again; will produce his directorial 'Kaagaz'?

Bollywood's bhaijaan Salman Khan and actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik gave a massive hit to the audience when they collaborate for Tere Naam, 16 years ago. Post that, the two teamed up once again for Ali Abbas Zafar’s 2019 Eid release Bharat, which features Satish in a cameo role. And now we hear that Salman and Satish are up for another collaboration as the actor has apparently come on board as a producer for the latter's upcoming directorial, Kaagaz.

A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "Satish Kaushik recently shot for a cameo in Bharat and that’s when he narrated the basic premise of his next to Salman. At the end of the narration, Salman was blown away by the concept and decided to produce as well as distribute the film under his banner." The source further added that the subject is extremely close to Satish's heart.

For the unversed, Kaagaz is a real life tale of an innocent farmer from Bihar who was, through bribery, declared dead in his town's official records by his relatives to illegally capture his land. He had to then fight with the Indian bureaucracy for 18 long years before he could prove himself to be alive. The film features Pankaj Tripathi in the title role of Lal Bihari.

The film went on floors in October last year in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Kaagaz also stars Nishant Kaushik and Monal Gajjar in pivotal roles.
