It was during the promotions of Aanand L Rai's Zero that Shah Rukh Khan spoke about his next film, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, based on the life of India's first astronaut Rakesh Sharma. However, it looks like Zero's debacle at the box-office has made SRK reconsider his film choices and we hear that he has opted out of the biopic and has chosen to feature in Don 3 instead.
PeepingMoon.com was the first to inform you that Shah Rukh has greenlighted the long-in-the-planning Don 3, to be helmed by Farhan Akhtar, but it was expected to roll after Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. Now a recent in a leading daily suggests that the actor decided to not take a huge risk again and begin working on Don 3, which is likely to go on floors this year.

Although there has been no official confirmation yet, Farhan said at the trailer launch of Gully Boy that a big announcement was about to come. Now with the recent development, it looks like it could be about Don 3 itself. Well, that is certainly a rejoice for Shah Rukh Khan fans and we can't wait to see him as Don once again!

Coming back to the Rakesh Sharma biopic, the was apparently being directed by Mahesh Mathai and was bank rolled by the actor himself and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The role was first offered to Aamir Khan, who gave it to SRK due to his prior work commitments. Now with Shah Rukh reportedly opting out of it, we wonder who will play the retired Air Force Wing Commander in his biopic.
