Ayushmann Khurrana might have left everyone impressed with his acting prowess and his diverse choice of roles but his wife super talented Tahira Kashyap, who battled breast cancer last year, is not far behind. In fact, her positive attitude during her fight with the deadly disease was an inspiration to many. What's more? Tahira, who has been writing screenplays for the last five years, is all set to make her B-Town directorial debut soon.
As per a report in a leading daily, Tahira's first film is a slice-of-life drama about two women and deals with the subject of urban existence and conflicts. While speculations were rife that the ravishing Madhuri Dixit-Nene will be seen as the female lead, we now hear that joining Madhuri will be Saiyami Kher, who made her debut in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya (2016).

"The project has been tentatively titled Sharma Ji Ki Beti. The team was looking for two actresses from different age groups for it," the daily quoted a source as saying. Apparently, both Madhuri and Saiyami will soon be signing on the dotted line. Divulging further details about the film, the source added, "The makers had begun talks with Madhuri last year, who recently gave her nod. She has an author-backed role. Saiyami’s character is that of a modern Indian girl, who is athletic and plays cricket. The makers have already had joint narrations with both the ladies."
Sharma Ji Ki Beti, backed by Bhushan Kumar, is expected to go on floors by the end of next month or early March.
