Ranveer Singh has refuted rumours of his unpleasant relationship with Shahid Kapoor during the shoot of their 2018 film Padmaavat, and said that working with the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor was “creatively fulfilling,” a leading website reports. Reports of Shahid’s and Ranveer’s cold war on the sets of Padmaavat were circulated by several quarters especially after the former said that he felt like an “outsider” while filming.
Ranveer, however, spoke on a different line on his relationship with Shahid, altogether. "We were very good together, yaar. I think we had a good time shooting for the film. Creatively fulfilling," Ranveer said in a recent interview, as reported by the website.

Padmaavat – Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious film – cast Deepika Padukone, Shahid and Ranveer in the principle roles. Meanwhile, on the sixth season of filmmaker Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, Shahid, during his appearance on Sunday, said that he is glad he did Padmaavat but also added that Deepika, Ranveer and Bhansali, could never become a part of his friends' circle.
“I am not in touch with most people from the industry. Honestly, Deepika, Ranveer and Sanjay Sir never became a part of my friend circle as such. It was more of a professional thing. It’s not as if the status was different and it has changed in any manner. It has pretty much been the way it was through the time we were working,” Shahid had said on KWK 6.

During the rapid-fire round on the show as well, Shahid said that he “wished Padmaavat was more balanced in its screen-time.”
Last seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shahid is currently filming Kabir Singh. As for Ranveer, his film Simmba is faring exceptionally well at the box office. Gully Boy, scheduled for February 14, is his upcoming release.
