Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ranveer Singh in the lead clocked one year today. The film became a landmark in the lives of both Deepika and Ranveer who after dating for six long years got married last year. It also catapulted Deepika as the highest paid female actor in Bollywood and that too at an equal footing with her male co-stars. On the film’s first anniversary, Ranveer, Deepika and Aditi shared special posts on their respective social media accounts.

Ranveer, who earned accolades by playing Alauddin Khilji shared a video of himself dressed as the character and captioned it as, “Bad Man having a Good time ALAUDDIN CHILL-JI #throwback #khilji#1yearofpadmaavat.” On the other hand, his wife Deepika shared an Instagram story of her excitement about the film's anniversary.
