Kangana said my version of Manikarnika looked like a Bhojpuri film, she is always rude, says director Krish

Filmmaker Krish has addressed his 'creative differences' with Kangana Ranaut over her new film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, and told a leading entertainment portal that the actress wasn't at her best behaviour while he was working on the project. Before Kangana took over as the director of Manikarnika, Krish was directing the film.

During his interview with the portal, Krish said that Kangana had told him that his version of the film was met with displeasure by Zee Studios, who has invested in the project as well. "Kangana even told me that Zee Studios hadn't liked what I had made. It was looking like a Bhojpuri film. I laughed. People know my previous work. We argued but she wanted her own way. I just couldn't understand," Krish told the portal.

The 31-year-old actress, who plays the titular role in the film, stepped into Krish’s shoes after he departed the project due to what has been blamed on scheduling conflicts and creative differences.

Speaking to the portal, Krish primarily said that Kangana wasn't in favour of a few parts that he had directed for Manikarnika due to which she has reshot several portions of the film. In fact, Kangana had "problems with a co-star's close-up. She felt she was overpowered by a certain co-actor," Krish said, adding that she was, "Very rude. She is rude all the time."
