PeepingMoon.com recently informed you that Kajol has been roped in hubby Ajay Devgn’s upcoming biopic Taanaji – The Unsung Warrior. The actress will reportedly be seen as the wife of the heroic Koli warrior Tanaji Malusare of the Maratha empire in the period action drama being directed by Om Raut.
Interestingly, we now hear that Kajol recently shot a lavishly-mounted song for the film and it will have her dressed in a typical Maharashtrian attire. A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "The song was shot over a week in the last week of December and is a part of the climax. It sees Kajol dressed in a traditional Maharashtrian outfit from the 17th century, inside her onscreen home. It has her thinking about her relationship with her warrior husband and a certain situation the couple is faced with at the time. Although Ajay won’t feature in the number, there are glimpses of their past moments together."

The source added, "The dance number accentuates her character’s emotional state and focuses on her facial expressions," further stating that Kajol totally nailed the song with finesse. Well, expectedly so, since we had earlier confirmed to you that Kajol's role in Taanaji is a small one, but very impactful and the reason why Ajay, who is producing the film, has cast Kajol is because of her command over Marathi.
Now we cannot wait to see the husband and wife reunite on the silver screen after a hiatus of 9 years.
