Vicky Kaushal reveals that his first audition was for Farhan Akhtar’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

With brilliant performances in films such as Sanju, Manmarziyaan and Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal has made his mark in the film industry in a very short period of time. But did you know that he had first auditioned for a role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2013 film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag but didn’t succeed? Based on Indian athlete Milkha Singh’s life, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag cast Farhan Akhtar in the lead role.

Vicky made the aforementioned revelation during his interview with an eminent journalist and spoke about his initial phase in the film industry. Of his auditions, Vicky said, “My first one was horrifying. It was for a small role in a big film and I realised how far from everything I was. On my way home, I was like, 'Vicky, ab toh tune job letter bhi phaad diya!' I was afraid, but I literally couldn't give up.”
