Kangana Ranaut and controversy go hand-in-hand. Even before the release of her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi the film was in news for all sorts of reasons. However, the biggest controversy started brewing when the actress took the reins of the film from director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish which also led to Sonu Sood exiting the project. There was brouhaha by several sections that said that Kangana has ousted the director and taken over the direction of the film.
However, producer Kamal Jain, writer Vijayendra Prasad and Prasoon Joshi sent a statement that it was the production house’s decision to ask Kangana to take up direction and they maintained their stance even after the film’s release. However, this did not deter Kish who continued to malign the actress. In a recent media interaction, the actress spoke about the ongoing mudslinging competition between the two parties that is happening online as well as offline.

Kangana said that Krish chose to go to the media instead of speaking to her about the issue. She said, “I say everything openly. People are shouting on social media and giving interviews and crying about things. My sister released the messages which we sent to Krish, saying that we should meet. I wanted to show him the film in December, but he never showed up. In fact, he was sure that the film was completely destroyed and was surprised how could anyone revive it. When I did, he could not believe it. The minute he saw the film he was like ‘it’s my film,’ which is okay, as he anyway has got the credit for it. But the question is, why a media trial? Why can’t he meet and tell me what are his concerns? He has never met me, never responded to any of the invites that my producer and I extended to him.”
Looks like this war of words between Kangana and Krish is not going to die anytime soon. However, the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is doing well at the box office and has already crossed Rs 50 crores.
