Kangana Ranaut has called out filmmakers Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap and actors Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan, saying that Bollywood biggies often end up “ignoring” her. During her interview with an entertainment portal, Kangana said that she believes “all the accolades” for her 2014 film Queen were for director Vikas Bahl and producer Anurag Kashyap, and not for her, actually.
"In 2014 (Queen), I don't think all the accolades were for me, it was for Phantom who was coming up and they were having screenings after screenings for people of Vikas and Anurag Kashyap. I have always been absolutely ignored. After Tanu Weds Manu also, I have had so many trials (film previews), they would just not come. But when it comes to them, they call me shamelessly, I even sort of cancel my shoots and make sure I attend them. Now, I have stopped because it's getting too much," Kangana told the portal, a leading website reports.

Kangana’s resentment towards Alia was explained during her interview as well. Alia, Kangana said, had sent her the trailer of her 2018 film Raazi and asked her to watch it but the Highway star didn’t support her during the release of her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
"These girls send me their trailers like Alia (Bhatt) sent me the trailer of Raazi and said, 'Please watch it'. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country. How do these people become so petty? This is a very strange sort of a racket. I don't know what they are threatened by," Kangana said, as per the website.
Kangana’s Manikarnika involved itself in controversy ever since filmmaker Krish, who was directing the project, opted out of it midway. Kangana, who plays the titular role in the film, stepped into Krish’s shoes as the director after he departed the project due to what has been blamed on scheduling conflicts and creative differences. While addressing his conflict with Kangana, Krish, in several interviews, said that his version of the film has been ‘reshot and modified’ by the actress in order to primarily ‘glorify’ herself in Manikarnika while Kangana has also been accused of ‘chopping off’ her co-actors’ sequences.
As for Aamir, Kangana said, "When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani's house. Dangal, for me, was a film about women empowerment. But they don't have time for any of my trails. I have two-three films coming up, but I don't expect people to write about them."
