Salman rejects role offered to Hrithik in Rohit Dhawan’s sci-fi drama

Nobody knows who’s going to be finally acting in Rohit Dhawan’s superhero sci-fi drama but speculations continue to fly fast and furious about Salman Khan coming on board to replace Hrithik Roshan. However, PeepingMoon.com sources say that neither Hrithik nor Salman are doing the film.

It was being said that Salman, who had read the script, had agreed to do Rohit’s untitled film but there is no truth to this rumour. Sources confirm that Rohit did approach Salman. But the actor politely declined the offer because he believed he was not of the age to play the role of a superhero.

“Salman is believed to have politely advised Rohit to cast a younger actor. But the Bhai also assured Rohit that he was keen on working with him in the future,” our sources say. “As for Hrithik, he supposedly agreed to do the film verbally but did not sign on the dotted line for over a year. Maybe he had Krrish on his mind.”

Finally, Rohit approached Salman because the film which will be made on a lavish scale like some Hollywood sci-fi drama demanded an A-list actor in the lead. And if not Hrithik, it was felt Salman fitted the bill perfectly. But Salman disagreed with the idea and was also hard pressed for dates.

PeepingMoon.com's sources say Rohit’s film will require a lot of time which Salman cannot commit. He is busy shooting the last schedule of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat which will open for Eid. Right after wrapping this, Salman will kick off Dabangg 3 in April in UP. Once that is completed, he will dive into the Hindi remake of the South Korean cop thriller Veteran which will be produced under his own banner Salman Khan Films and Atul Agnihotri’s Reel Life Productions.
