The movie-buffs are certainly loving a lot of biopics lately and films on sports personalities, including Mary Kom, Dangal, Gold, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, have been appreciated by the audience and critics alike. Interestingly, rumours were recently rife that a film on tennis player Sania Mirza is on the cards as well and Ronnie Screwvala's production house RSVP has already acquired the rights to make a biopic on her.
Now adding to the excitement, Sania confirmed the news to a leading daily that she is having a 'butterfly in your stomach' feeling. "It’s excitement combined with nervousness—a ‘butterfly in your stomach’ feeling—when you are about to let your life story out to the world. It’s what I felt when my biography was written and I feel exactly the same when my journey is going to be presented on the big screen. I know it’s in good hands with an astute producer like Ronnie (Screwvala), who’s known for telling stories impactfully," she said.

Further stating that she is excited to partner with Ronnie and RSVP for a film based on her, Sania admitted that she "can’t wait for it to go on floors."
Well, we couldn't agree more!
On the other hand, Ronnie told the daily that he is delighted to bring Sania's fascinating story on celluloid and feels that Sania's journey, her hurdles and her resilience to overcome them makes for one inspirational tale. Well, after delivering the first blockbuster of 2019 with URI: The Surgical Strike, we cannot wait for RSVP to bankroll another hit film.
Sania is a celebrated tennis player and has won six Grand Slam titles in her career. She is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik since 2010. Their first child, son Izhaan, was born in 2018.
