Bollywood always follows trends, filmmakers tend to make films on a formula that has worked at the box office or has appealed to the audience. After the biopic trend now filmmakers have resorted to space films. Two months ago, we saw Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero that was partly set in a space research centre. The Rakesh Sharma biopic Saare Jahaan Se Achcha is also in the works and is yet another film that is creating a lot of buzz. Shah Rukh Khan was supposedly playing the lead in the film but has now opted out, although no official confirmation has come.
Another film that created a lot of buzz was Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chanda Mama Door Ke. Sushant was supposed to star in the film with Nawazuddin Siddiqui but opted out citing date issues and eventually, the project was shelved. However, that did not hinder the actor who has a special affinity for space and has decided to put together a new space film in which he will not only act but produce too.

However, Sushant underwent quite a lot of prep for the film. He visited NASA to receive training to play an astronaut and learned how to fly a plane as well as operate a telescope. He took training on how to land on the Moon too. Reportedly, Sushant along with Vicky Kaushal are in the running to play the lead in Rakesh Sharma's biopic Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. We can’t wait to see Sushant donning a space suit and living his dream on celluloid.
