It was just last week when PeepingMoon.com had informed you all exclusively that Radhika Madan will be playing Irrfan's daughter in Hindi Medium 2. Irrfan, who was diagnosed with a life-threatening neuroendocrine cancer for which he was being treated in London has returned to Mumbai and is currently undergoing treatment in Kokilaben Hospital.

The actor is said to begin the shooting for Hindi Medium 2, the sequel to his 2017 hit Hindi Medium, in March.

Previously several names did the rounds as to who will be cast opposite Irrfan in the film. Rumours were rife that the role was of Radhika Madan's mother and Kareena Kapoor Khan was the makers first choice. However, according to trade news, OTT platforms sensation Radhika Apte has been roped in for one of the lead roles.

This will be the first project together for these two highly appreciated actors.

Producer Dinesh Vijjan has got Homi Adajania on board to direct the film, which as per the trade sources, will be titled English Medium. The film will go on floor in Delhi by March and will also be shot in London after that.

While no official announcement has been made regarding the same, we wonder if Radhika will be playing Radhika Madan's mother's role (which was earlier said to be played by Kareena) or if she has bagged some other role.

For the unversed, Radhika Madan made an impressive debut last year with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha, whereas Radhika Apte, star of films like Andhadhun, Bazaar, Padman, Lust Stories and is known for her distinct work across all entertainment mediums.
