Pulwama Attack: After blanket ban on Pakistani artists, Salman to replace Atif Aslam’s song in Notebook

The terror attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir that happened on February 14 is one of the most dastardly attacks in recent times and has shocked the entire nation. The attack was perpetrated by a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) fidayeen who rammed a truck full of explosives into a convoy of CRPF jawans that killed more than 40 personnel and left several grievously injured. The entire nation was enraged and several Bollywood and TV actors took to social media to express their anger and grief over the attack. All Indian Cine Workers Association announced a total ban on Pakistani artists and actors from working in India.

In the wake of the Pulwama attack, the recent buzz is that Salman Khan has asked his production house Salman Khan Films to replace Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s song from his production venture Notebook that stars newcomers, Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal. The song will be re-recorded in a day or two. Atif has sung for Salman in his last release Race 3 as well, but now he is no longer the favoured singer.  The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar.
