Mallika Dua posts a video to slam ‘nakli nationalists’ on Pulwama attack, gets viciously trolled in return

Comedian Mallika Dua has uploaded a video on her official Facebook account in which she has slammed ‘nakli nationalists’ for shaming people who are not publicly mourning the death of the 40 CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the recent Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. She slammed netizens who have been trolling celebrities for looking happy and going on about their lives and doing regular stuff on social media. However, her video and her views received a lot of flak by netizens who called her insensitive and anti-national.

In the video, Mallika said that people die every day of depression, unemployment, hunger and malnourishment on a daily basis but life goes on. She captioned the video as, “To all the nakli nationalists and keyboard patriots, you don’t get to decide who’s Indian and who’s not. Especially those of you hell bent on destroying the secular fabric of this country really need to shut your mouths before giving others unsolicited Gyaan on being Indian. Tum hum se zyaada hindustaani nahin aur hum tumse kam Hindustaani nahi. It’s very convenient to be a keyboard warrior when it’s someone else shedding blood on your behalf."

At a time when the nation is angry and grieving over the loss of the martyr’s lives her video brought her immense backlash and really harsh reactions from people who criticized her for trivializing the deaths of the Indian soldiers.  Her Facebook feed is full of people who are venting their anger on her. One Facebook user very kindly asked her to “zip it”, while the other called her a "disappointment to the Indian Nation".
