Nayak: The Real Hero is undoubtedly one of Anil Kapoor's finest films and the sequel to the masterpiece is awaited by everyone. Anil seconds this thought and thinks a sequel to the 2001's bonafide hit will make for a good film. When quizzed about which film of his deserves a sequel, Anil told a media agency during the T20 Dhamaal shoot at the Star Sports studio, "I think a sequel to Nayak would be a good idea."
Nayak.. is a remake of S. Shankar's successful Tamil film Mudhalvan. The film narrated the story of how a common man fights against the corrupt system, and how his life changes after he becomes a chief minster for a day. It featured Rani Mukerji and the late Amrish Puri.

During the event, Anil was asked about what is the most exciting aspect of being in the industry at the moment, and the actor said a new wave of ideas and content. "The new wave of ideas and content. The unexplored territories and new challenges," Anil added.
The 63-year-old actor is looking forward to the release of Total Dhamaal, which is the third installment of the franchise Dhamaal. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit Nene, Ajay Devgn and Boman Irani. Co-produced by Fox Star Studios, Ajay Devgn Films, Ashok Thakeria, Kumar, Sri Adhikari Brothers, Anand Pandit, Sangeeta Ahir and Kumar Mangat Pathak, the film is slated to release on February 22.
