It is about a guy who plays Sita in Ramleela: Ayushmann Khurrana on his Dream Girl role

Ayushmann Khurrana has revealed details about his role from his upcoming film Dream Girl and said that the plot is quite unique. Describing his character in the film, Ayushmann told a leading entertainment portal that he has been cast as a “guy who plays Sita in Ram Leela” in Dream Girl.

His character, Ayushmann said, is talented enough to speak in the voices of a male as well as a female. The film is a commercial project, he explained, saying that Dream Girl is an interesting film.

“Dream Girl is really unique, really interesting because I get to wear a saree in the film. It’s about a guy who plays Sita in Ram Leela. Traditionally, in our country we have all seen guys playing Sita, so I’m one of those. He has the unique talent of taking out voices of both male and female. It’s like a full on commercial film,” Ayushmann told the portal.

Manjot Singh, best known for his roles in the films Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Fukrey, also stars in Dream Girl and recently told a daily that he is “thrilled” to work with Ayushmann and director Raaj Shaandilyaa. Manjot has been cast as Ayushmann’s best friend and partner-in-crime in the film.
