Nawazuddin Siddiqui is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in the Hindi film industry and has films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Manto, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and others, to his credit. The actor is currently in Kanpur for the shoot of Honey Trehan's Raat Akeli Hai, which will see him as a policeman hailing from Uttar Pradesh, who is investigating a murder.
However, to everyone's shock, his fans recently went violent to catch a glimpse of him during the shoot. In a video that has surfaced online, Nawazuddin is seen getting dragged by his neck as his followers try to click a selfie with him. Despite being heavily guarded, the actor was manhandled. Soon after the nasty brush with fan-craze, his team got hold of the situation and jumped into Nawazuddin's rescue.

Meanwhile, as per reports, soon after the incident occured, the cops on duty helped Nawaz and nabbed the fan as well.
On the work front, the actor was last seen in Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray's biopic Thackeray. His forthcoming film is Photograph opposite Sanya Malhotra and it marks the second collaboration of Nawaz and Ritesh Batra after The Lunchbox. Photograph is slated to release on March 15.
