Set in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad, Rooh Afza is based on a folk legend as the plot is based on female ghosts attempting to keep grooms awake during their first night after their respective wedding. “At the same time, the chudail is trying to put him to sleep with a lullaby. In Rooh Afza, Rajkummar will play a “self-proclaimed hero who is a bit of a fool” as per the report in the daily while Dinesh said that his character in the film will be as engrossing as that in his 2018 film Stree. “Even though it is named after the refreshing summer drink, Rooh Afza, there is nothing sweet about it,” Dinesh added. Varun Sharma, best known for his role of Choocha in Fukrey, stars as Rajkummar’s accomplice in Rooh Afza. The film will be produced by Dinesh and Fukrey director Mrighdeep Lamba. Rooh Afza will begin filming in May while the director and female lead of the film is expected to be announced soon.
