Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Paresh Rawal on Tuesday evening took a jibe at Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar for his silence after the air strikes conducted by the Indian Air Force in the wee hours yesterday against the terror camp in Balakot, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Zafar had previously applauded Pakistani PM Imran Khan’s message to India after the Pulwama attack. Zafar who had worked in Bollywood films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Dear ZIndagi, Chashme Baddoor had praised Khan’s speech and written, “What a speech!” Twitter user Trendulkar quoted Ali’s tweet to Imran Khan saying, “What a strike @narendramodi," on the day the air strikes took place. The Balakot surgical strike took place on the 13th day of the Pulwama terror attacks in which a suicide bomber had rammed a vehicle full of explosives into a convoy containing CRPF soldiers. Around 40 soldiers lost their lives and many were seriously injured. Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed took up the responsibility of the attack. 12 French Mirage 2000 fighters crossed the Line of Control to enter Pakistan’s air space to bomb terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit. The mission started around 3:15 am and lasted for nearly 21 minutes. The air strikes were met with widespread enthusiasm and appreciation by the Indians.
