Amidst much hullabaloo, the eagerly awaited song Ghoomar from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati is out and we can't stop raving how exquisite Deepika Padukone looks. 
The traditional dance form is performed by the Rajput women all auspicious occasions. In the film, Deepika is seen dancing her heart as a newlywed who enters her marital home. The premise is set when Deepika aka Padmini walks into her husband aka Shahid Kapoor's house (Maharana Rawal Ratan Singh).
Showcasing immense poise and grace, Deepika is twirling and circling gracefully, displaying coordinated hand moments and footwork. Even Deepika admitted that she spent hours preparing for the Ghoomar song sequence. She trained under Jyothi D Tommaar, assistant director and trustee of Gangaur Ghoomar Dance Academy. The choreography has been designed by Kruti Mahesh Midya and Shreya Ghoshal- Swarup Khan has lent the vocals. SLB is the magic musician behind the track. 
“The shooting of the film began with this song, and I’ll never forget that day. I remember approaching my mark for the first shot. It was almost as if Padmavati’s soul had entered my body. I could feel her presence; and, in fact, I still do. It’s one of those rare moments in an actor’s life where it’s going to take a very long time before it actually leaves the system,” Deepika shared about her experience.
Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh as Allaudin Khilji alongside Deepika and Shahid. Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, the film will release worldwide on December 1.
