Shahid Kapoor is one of the busiest actors of Bollywood. The actor has quite a lot of interesting and lucrative projects in his hand. He is also in talks with quite a few ace filmmakers for their projects which are still under process. Now the latest buzz is that he is in talks with Abhishek Kapoor to star in his next film titled Sharaabi which is being co-produced by T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar.

Sharabi is a dark-comedy and Shahid is in the contention to play the lead as reported by a leading daily. Earlier, co-producer of the film and wife of Abhishek, Pragya Kapoor had said that the film will star newcomers but looks like they have reconsidered and are now hoping to get Shahid on board. However, no official confirmation has come and we hope that the ‘rumour’ turns out to be true.

Speculation is rife whether the film is a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sharabi that released in 1984 and also featured Jaya Prada, Pran and Om Prakash. Abhishek’s film is also touted to be a musical which has give rise to the rumours of it being the remake of the original film. The film is a comic drama about a dysfunctional alcoholic.
