Yes, it’s true. The third installment of the hit franchise Hera Pheri, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, will begin filming by the end of 2019, filmmaker Indra Kumar confirmed while speaking to a leading daily. Hera Pheri, starring Akshay, Suniel and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles, released in 2000. The second part Phir Hera Pheri, directed by Neeraj Vora, released in 2006 as Akshay, Suniel and Paresh Rawal reprised their roles in the film.

While reports of Hera Pheri 3 have been doing the rounds of the press for a while, Indra Kumar told the daily that the script of the film is being written at the moment. “I’m happy that the favourite trio is coming back together. We start the film towards the end of this year. It’s currently being scripted. I was completely cut off from that project for the last three months because I was busy with Total Dhamaal,” Indra told the daily.

Hera Pheri 3, in fact, will also involve special effects as Indra added, “So, it will definitely be bigger and better and involve heavy VFX. I’m expecting people to enjoy the film as much.”

Indra Kumar, meanwhile, is basking in the glory of his new film Total Dhamaal, starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi, in the lead roles. The film has earned Rs 88.05 crore within six days of its release.
